I am greatly impressed by the commitment shown by the students and the staff of the school in putting together all that it takes to make the Website informative, user friendly and attractive. St. Edmund’s HS promotes a well researched holistic education for the students in its state of the art facilities. The Management and a dedicated team of teachers train, guide and mentor the Higher Secondary students in the curriculum of Meghalaya Board of School Education in three different streams, namely, Arts, Science and Commerce. The academic policies of the school are designed in such a manner that intellectual, social, physical and personal development of the students receive the right kind of stimuli to prepare them for their future and ensure that their transition from the tertiary to a higher level of education is smooth and hassle free.

In St. Edmund’s we are passionate about creating a ‘model’ institution that is open to changes and constantly seeking excellence to meet the needs of the present as well as the future, while learning from the ethical and moral value systems which has stood us in good stead ever since inception. We have a student community that represents various ethnic, religious and linguistic communities, who come with their distinctive culture and add value to a vibrant community life in a pristine, salubrious campus.

We believe in inclusive education and it has been our constant effort to build a community that is never “…broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls…” as Tagore would say and would never cow down under any form of pressure. Consequently, we promote a culture of friendship and fraternity, humaneness and compassion, mutual respect and love for humanity among our students through our instructional methods.
